Cory Pontarollo joined Rutgers Athletics in November 2021 and currently serves as a multimedia specialist focused on men’s basketball. In his role, Pontarollo oversees the video content efforts for the nationally recognized men’s basketball program. He travels to all road games, shooting and editing content for @RutgersMBB social channels. He also oversees numerous special projects such as the team’s intro video, “The Freshman Corner” and cinematic game recaps.
Pontarollo was promoted to his role with the men’s basketball team in June 2022, having initially joined the athletic department as a multimedia specialist focused on video content for RU’s olympic sports programs in November 2021.
Prior to joining Rutgers, Pontarollo worked for the Big Ten Network starting in 2019 as an on-campus video producer and editor. As the Rutgers campus contact, he shot and edited video content at home games for all Scarlet Knight sports, helping enhance RU’s presence on Big Ten Network social platforms.
In the 2018-19 year, Pontarollo worked as a digital assistant for the BIG EAST conference. He contributed in all areas to the conference’s digital efforts, ranging from the production and editing of video, planning, editing and executing social content strategies as well as designing graphics and working gameday and event coverage.
Pontarollo got his start in the industry with the NBA G-League, working as a gameday assistant from October 2017 through March 2019. He assisted with the management of G-League broadcasts through a number of platforms such as ESPNU, NBA TV and Facebook Live.
A Seton Hall graduate, Pontarollo gained experience working as correspondent with the Pirate Sports Network all four years of college. He assisted with the production of live broadcasts, while creating digital content for official Seton Hall Athletics channels. He also served as an athletic communications intern with SHU as a junior and senior.
Pontarollo graduated Seton Hall in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management & Marketing. He currently resides in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
