He competed so well last fall but then he was injured, so to have a player of his caliber come back, it gives the program a boost. He’s excited about finishing off goals at Rutgers the right way."
SPRING 2016: Competed in 16 rounds during the spring season, finishing with a 75.25 18-round average ... produced a tied-for-43rd 227 scorecard (76-75-76) during the Big Ten Championship (April 22-24) ... finished tied for 19th with a 218 (72-75-71) at the Rutherford Intercollegiate (April 16-17) ... carded a 147 (71-76) to finish tied for 29th at the Princeton Invitational (April 9-10) ... finished 66th with a 13-over-par 157 (78-79) at the Seahawk Intercollegiate (March 20-21) … concluded tied for 40th with a 14-over-par 227 (76-74-77) at the Bob Sitton Invitational (March 15-17) … contributed a tied-for-28th scorecard with a 12-over-par 228 (75-74-79) at the Colleton River Collegiate (March 7-8) … had individual wins against Nebraska (1-UP), Michigan State (3&2) and Michigan (2&1) during the Big Ten Match Play Championship, helping RU secure a team win against the Wolverines in the opening round (Feb. 12-13).
FALL 2015: Named Big Ten Player to Watch ... shot a 157 (77-80) to finish 46th at the Maryland Invitational ... carded a 146 (76-70) to finish tied for 17th at the Macdonald Cup (10/2-10/3) ... shot a 229 (76-73-80) to finish tied for 39th at the Badger Invitational (9/27-9/29) ... collected a third-place finish with a seven-under-par 209 (70-66-73) at the Hartford Hawks Invitational (9/21-22) ... finished T-22nd with a 219 (70-76-73) during the Rutgers Invitational (9/11-12).
SPRING 2015: Did not compete due to injury.
FALL 2014: Participated in all five tournaments for Rutgers, totaling 14 rounds ... shot a team-low 151 (74-77), finishing fifth at the Lehigh Invitational (10/18-19) ... led the team with a 220 (75-70-75) scorecard, good for T-9th at the Maryland Invitational (10/13-14) ... finished T-17th at the Badger Invitational (9/28-30) ... produced a 214 (70-74-70) scorecard at the Rutgers Invitational, placing T-11th ... concluded T-12th with a 214 (73-70-71) scorecard at the Wolverin Intercollegiate (9/6-7).
FALL 2013: Competed in all five events, playing in 14 rounds ... earned four top-20 finishes on the season ... tied for 15th at the Rutgers Invitational, carding a 219 (73-70-76) ... carded a 222 (76-71-75) to finishtied for 11th at the Hartford Hawk Invitational ... paced the Scarlet Knights at the Badger Invitational, posting a 221 (74-75-72) to finish tied for 14th in the 74-player field ... recorded a 221 (73-72-76) at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate ... placed tied for 17th at the Lehigh Invitational, recording a 159 (81-78).
SPRING 2013: Competed in all five events, playing 13 rounds ... tied for 10th with a 227 (76-75-76) at the Whiting Turner Towson Invitational ... had an eagle at the Big East Championship.FALL 2012: Competed in all five events, playing in 13 rounds ... went 2-1 in the STX Match play, defeating his FDU, and Stevenson opponents ... paced the Scarlet Knights at the Rutgers Invitational, carding a one-under 212 (73-68-71) to place third in the 83-competitor field and had tournament-best minus two in par three scoring, while also finishing minus one on par fours ... placed tied for 27th out of 88 in the Hartford Hawks Invitational with a 228 (74-73-81) ... placed tied for 22nd out of 28 at the Waterville Collegiate Classic with a 165 (92-73) ... tied for 16th out of 45 at the Lehigh Invitational with a 151 (77-73).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Valencia HS, where he was a three-time team captain and most valuable player under head coach Robert Waters ... was the Foothill League Most Valuable player as a sophomore and senior, with a 69 and 68, respectively ... as a senior, earned individual medalist honors in four of six Foothill League matches and had a 72.8 stroke average ... in the post-season, shot a two-over 74 at TPC Valencia to finish with a 36-hole total of 148 to capture his third consecutive Newhall Land Cup title ... a nationally-ranked AJGA competitor with numerous top finishes in both regional and national junior tournaments ... played four events on the FCWT Junior Tour in 2011-12, making all four cuts and placing tied for ninth at the Classic Club 36 holes ... at the AJGA ClubCorp Mission Hills Desert Junior, he finished 17th with a 220 (74-73-73), his second top 20 finish in five AJGA events in the spring of 2012 ... is the Rancho Vista course record holder with a 64.
PERSONAL: Son of Young and Tae Chang ... interested in Psychology.
