As a freshman (2016): Saw action in 19 games, starting seven...registered a hit, stolen base and a run in RU’s win over Bradley (Feb. 21)...in her first career start, posted her first two collegiate hits against Morehead State (Feb. 20)...made her first collegiate appearance as a pinch runner against No. 19 James Madison (Feb. 12).
Prior to Rutgers: Three-year member of the varsity squad at Hillsborough, serving as team captain in her senior year ... part of the state sectional champion, conference champion and county runner-up team in her sophomore season ... named all-conference second team as a junior ... earned the state sectional and conference title for the second consecutive year, including the county title and finished as the AA NJSIAA Group 4 State Runner-Ups her junior year ... in addition to softball, lettered in field hockey her sophomore year at Hillsborough ... an honors student ... member of the 18U Cheetahs Primer team in summer 2014, averaging a .368 batting percentage along with a .474 slugging average ... member of the 18U NJ Breakers Gold team in summer 2013, posting a .466 average ... daughter of Ricardo and Deena Couso ... has one sibling, Ricardo ... intends to major in nutrition or animal science.
