Elizabeth Adams

As a senior (2016): Started 46 games behind the plate, including all 23 conference games...named Academic All-Big Ten...posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in league play...registered 160 total putouts, while boasting a .994 fielding average with only one error on the season...led the team with a .500 batting average in the three-game series against No. 24 Ohio State, posting a team-high four hits in eight at bats with three walks (Apr. 8-10)...posted a career-high four RBIs and matched a career-high three hits to fuel RU’s 7-6 comeback win over Hofstra (Mar. 22)...added a two-run home run in the seventh inning to ensure a 4-1 victory over NC Central (Mar. 6)...posted a season-high two hits and two RBIs and a stolen base in the 10-0 shutout of Alcorn State (Feb. 27)...registered a double at Kennesaw State (Feb. 19)...notched a double for her first hit of the season versus Fordham, along with a walk and a run (Feb. 13).

As a junior (2015):
Started 46 of 47 games played behind the plate for RU ... named Academic All-Big Ten...stole third base en route to scoring the game-winning run in the eighth inning to give the Scarlet Knights a 6-5 win over Santa Barbara (Feb. 14) ... recorded two hits, a walk and an RBI against Saint Mary's (Feb. 14) ... registered a career-high two RBIs on one hit in the win over Bakersfield (Mar. 7) ... pulled in two runs with one hit in the win against UW-Green Bay (Mar. 13), adding one run of her own in the contest ... registered the first home run of her career at Indiana (Mar. 21), along with tying her career-high with two hits ... went 2-for-3 at the plate, including her second homer at Purdue (Mar. 28) ... posted two RBIs with a double in RU's 7-5 win over Stony Brook (Apr. 1) ... registered a 3-for-4 performance at the plate, along with two RBIs, one walk and one run in RU's 22-17 win over Michigan State (Apr. 4) ... went 2-for-2 at the plate with two runs in the 3-2 victory over Ohio State (Apr. 18).

As a sophomore (2014): Played in 32 games at catcher, starting 31 ... registered the second-most putouts on the team (208) ... recorded her first multi-hit game of the season against Houston in the first round of the American Athletic Conference Softball Championship, going 2-for-4 with a double, run scored and an RBI (May 8) ... singled and scored a run in the 3-1 win over Hofstra (Mach 27) ... scored a run against Louisville (March 23) ... notched her first hit of the season against Portland State (March 2) ... drew a walk and scored a run against Louisiana-Lafayette (Feb. 23) ... scored a run in RU's 10-6 win over Colorado State (Feb. 16).

As a freshman (2013): Started in 11 games and appeared in 17 for the Scarlet Knights ... notched her first career RBI in a win against Maine (March 16) ... earned four putouts in a 10-0 win against Rider (March 2) ... recorded her first career at-bat in the team's 9-2 win against Boise State (Feb. 17).

Prior to Rutgers: Four-year starting catcher at Crystal Lake South HS ... also played shortstop and outfield positions ... named team MVP in her junior and senior seasons ... was a two-time team defensive MVP and three-time All-Fox Valley Conference Team member ... named to the 2010, 2011 and 2012 All Area First Team by the Daily Herald and Northwest Herald ... was 2011 Honorable Mention by the Chicago Sun-Times ... hit .495 with 33 singles, 12 doubles, two triples and two home runs in her senior season as the team's offensive MVP ... also recorded a .717 slugging percentage and 27 RBIs ... struck out only seven times in 295 at bats in her high school career ... played club ball for Illinois Chill in 2010-12 ... a five year member (2005-2010) of Crystal Lake Tidal Waves ... earned USSSA 16U A State Championship Defensive MVP in 2008 ... a member of 2007 USSSA Fastpitch World Series All Tourney Team and USSSA State Champions All Tourney Team member ... tabbed an Honor Roll/ High Honor Roll student all four years of high school.
