Head Coach Kristen Butler on Riggan: "We are excited to grow our incoming class with the addition of Kelsie to our Rutgers Softball family. Kelsie's tremendous athleticism and speed will be a great asset to our roster and with her weightlifting background, she will bring a lot of power to both the plate and the outfield. I chose my major because: I want to become a sports PT and taking this major will help me get to my desire
Favorite place to hang out on campus: Softball field or the library
The person I most admire is and why: My parents because they have showed me the real definition of hard work and determination
If I wasn’t playing softball, I’d be: experimenting a lot in the science department
Favorite professional athlete: Kobe Bryant

One word to describe myself on the field: Resilient
One word to describe myself off the field: Adaptable
Few people know that I: Learned American Sign Language
Person who had greatest influence on my athletics career: My parents, my past coaches and my sisters
I started playing my sport because…: My dad asked me one random day after school if I wanted to try out for softball by my house. I told him sure but what is the sport and every since I made the rec team I fell in love with the sport
I chose Rutgers because…: I love the coaching staff for softball. The school it’s self is amazing and the campus made me feel at home and safe as well
Favorite cereal: Cinnamon Toast Crunch
The movie I have watched the most in my lifetime is: Friday
The best actor/actress to play me in a movie is…: Madea
Favorite musician/group: Brent Faiyaz
The first song I knew all the words to is: Love by Kesha Cole
If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, I would win a gold medal at: Being the most organized

- Went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and her first collegiate home run in a 8-0 run-rule win over host Georgia State at the Bob Heck Memorial Tournament (3/9)
