Rutgers Women's Lacrosse Kicks Off Fall Schedule

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers University women’s lacrosse head coach Laura Brand released her team’s fall schedule, which is slated to begin with the Alumnae Game on Sept. 17 at 1:00 p.m.
The team will travel to Penn State on Sept. 25, and take part in an all-day event. The Scarlet Knights will then travel to George Mason and play in a day-long event on Oct. 15.
The team’s fall schedule will conclude with the Rutgers Lacrosse/ Nancy Gelman Tournament for Breast Cancer on Oct. 22, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The tournament will consist of five teams, including Rutgers. Each team will play four times throughout the day and new games will begin every 40 minutes.
Rutgers suffered an injury-plagued season in 2005, finishing 6-10 and 1-4 in the BIG EAST. The Scarlet Knights are now looking forward to a fresh start with a team that includes 12 newcomers.
