Rutgers to Serve as N.J. Pride Home in 2006

PISCATAWAY, NJ - The New Jersey Pride of Major League Lacrosse will play five home games of its 2006 season schedule at Yurcak Field on the campus of Rutgers University. The Pride makes its debut at Yurcak Field on May 20 when it hosts the Boston Cannons at 7:30 p.m.
'We're happy to host the New Jersey Pride and Major League Lacrosse on our campus,' said Rutgers Director of Athletics Bob Mulcahy. 'We are very proud of our athletic facilities, and we look forward to having the opportunity to showcase Yurcak Field to the professional lacrosse audience.'
The 5,000 seat stadium on the Busch Campus at Rutgers is home to the Scarlet Knights' men's and women's soccer teams, and men's and women's lacrosse teams. Yurcak Field is named in honor of the late Ronald N. Yurcak, a 1965 All-American Rutgers Lacrosse player and a prominent supporter of the program through the years.
