RU Women's Lax Edged at Old Dominion 12-11

NORFOLK, VA - Despite four goals by sophomore midfielder Kate Shomo (Medford Lakes, NJ) and three apiece by both junior midfielder Katie Baiuk (Jackson, NJ) and freshman midfielder Katy Lawrence (Pylesville, MD), the Rutgers University women’s lacrosse team fell to the Old Dominion Lady Monarchs, 12-11, Monday afternoon.
With the loss, the Scarlet Knights dropped to 5-4 on the season. The loss also marks the first time RU has lost consecutive games this season.
The win snapped a three-game Lady Monarch losing streak and improved ODU to 3-3 on the season.
The Scarlet Knights will return to action on Friday, March 31 when they play host to the Temple Owls at Ronald N. Yurcak Field at 7:00 p.m. RU is an undefeated 2-0 at Yurcak Field this season
