Olin Named Under Armor Boy's Lacrosse All-America
May 26 | Men's Lacrosse
BALTIMORE, MD - Bill Olin (Elmira, NY), a senior goalie at Horseheads High School who will be a member of the Rutgers men's lacrosse team beginning in the fall, has been named to the first-ever Under Armor All-America team and will compete in the Under Armor All-America Lacrosse Classic on June 18 at Towson University.
The All-Americans selected have been divided into North and South rosters to compete in the event. The list of All-Americans features the 46 best lacrosse players in the United States. A committee spent this spring narrowing down a field of hundreds to find only the best of the best for the All-America team.
Olin had 333 saves, a .690 save percentage and 76 ground balls as a junior. He is a two-time Central Empire Team selection who owns school records for saves in a game, season and career. This year as a senior, he set the New York state record for career saves as his Horseheads High School team is currently competing in the state tournament.
Rutgers' incoming freshman class features 12 student-athletes, including six members from New Jersey. It has one goalie, two attackmen, two defenders and seven midfielders.
