Batiuk Selected Inside Lacrosse All-American

Piscataway, N.J. - Rutgers senior midfielder Katie Batiuk was cited for her athletic accomplishment on Wednesday, earning Inside Lacrosse All-American third honors. In addition, the Jackson, N.J. native was tabbed a second team All-American by womenslacrosse.com.
Batiuk is a four-time All-Region selection and earned first team honors the past two campaigns. The midfielder closed her senior season with a team-high 42 goals and 48 points. She was named to the all-BIG EAST team for the fourth consecutive spring. Batiuk concluded her spectacular career second all-time in goals (160) and points (216).
Freshman Jessica Davis and sophomore Nina Frankoski were named to the womenslacrosse.com rookie team. Davis, a second team All BIG EAST selection, enjoyed a highly successful first season. The Moorestown, N.J. product registered a team-best 44 ground balls and a second-best 18 caused turnovers, earning the start in all 17 games.
Frankoski, a sophomore attacker, recorded 40 goals for the Scarlet Knights in 2007. The Maplewood, N.J. native posted 45 points, second-best on the team and earned first team All-BIG EAST honors. She tied for the team lead in game-winning goals, scoring four along with teammate Batiuk.
