Rutgers Men's Lacrosse Announces Fall Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers University men's lacrosse head coach Jim Stagnitta has released the 2007 fall schedule for the Scarlet Knights, which includes a match-up against defending national champion Johns Hopkins.
"Fall for us is about evaluating and teaching," said Stagnitta. "Our goal is to be prepared to compete and hit the ground running in the spring."
RU will open up its fall slate with a doubleheader on Sunday Oct., 7 at Boy's Latin School High School in Baltimore, Md. The Scarlet Knights will take on the nine-time national champion Blue Jays at 10 a.m. and will then battle Big Ten foe Ohio State at 12:30 p.m.
On Saturday Oct. 13, Rutgers will travel to Villanova University to take on the Wildcats at 12 noon to conclude its 2007 fall season.
"The fall schedule provides us competition against very talented and prestigious programs as well as an opportunity to gain the most experience and on field time."
