Feb 28 | Men's Lacrosse
CAPE COD, Mass. - Rudy Keeling, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) commissioner, announced today a partnership with CN8, The Comcast Network, to broadcast six live ECAC Lacrosse League games this spring. The package will include two contests featuring the Scarlet Knights.
Rutgers will appear in the final two broadcasts of the year, when RU hosts Georgetown on April 26 and when the Scarlet Knights travel to Massachusetts for their season finale on May 3.
Joey Wahler and Jack Piatelli will be the broadcast team in the booth for both games featuring Rutgers. The complete package features some of the best lacrosse teams in the nation, including several top 25 teams battling for conference supremacy. Rutgers, along with Massachusetts, Loyola, Georgetown and Fairfield, will be the only teams featured twice.
"We are excited to partner with CN8 to launch this lacrosse television package," said Keeling. "The athletic competition that exists at our member colleges and universities is some of the best in the country, and fans, family, and alumni will now be able to follow their teams throughout the ECAC and CN8 footprint from Maine to Virginia."
"This package is for all lacrosse enthusiasts - athletes, parents whose kids are playing the game, and fans who have become captivated by the sport," said Jon Gurevitch, vice president, CN8 Sports. "This is a tremendous opportunity for CN8 to showcase a great series of match-ups. We're excited to devote a significant amount of airtime to lacrosse and to make these games available to fans three ways - on air, online and ON DEMAND."
For those who miss the games, ECAC college lacrosse coverage on CN8 may be viewed ON DEMAND for up to one week following the original airing of each game at no cost to Comcast Digital Cable customers. The games will also stream live online at www.CN8.tv.
