Pennington Selected as Top 10 Midfielder in Nation

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - InsideLacrosse.com released its 2009 rankings of the top players in Division I men's lacrosse and Rutgers rising junior Justin Pennington (Flemington, N.J.) was selected as one of the Top 10 midfielders. An honorable mention All-American in 2008, Pennington was ranked No. 7 on the list.

Pennington, who was also a first team All-ECAC selection in 2008, led the Scarlet Knights with 32 points on 22 goals and 10 assists. Additionally, he was ranked 11^th in the country, averaging 5.15 groundballs per game. While handling a majority of RU's face-off duties, Pennington won 53.8 percent of his attempts, ranking him 24^th in the nation.
