Nov 10 | Women's Lacrosse
PISCATAWAY, N.J. (November 10, 2009) – The Rutgers women’s lacrosse team released its 2010 schedule, head coach Laura Brand-Sias announced Tuesday. The Scarlet Knights boast another highly-competitive slate, including games against three NCAA tournament quarterfinalists from a year ago in Princeton, Syracuse and Notre Dame.
“Our schedule is always challenging and this season is no different,” said Brand-Sias. “Our non-conference competition is outstanding and the BIG EAST continues to excel at the national level.
“We are excited for the challenges that lay ahead. As always we strive to compete and win the BIG EAST Championship. This season brings new motivation with the championship taking place on our home field. We look forward to representing Rutgers and this athletic department with pride.”
Rutgers’ 16-game regular season features an even split of eight home and away games. Six of those games will be against teams that finished their 2009 season in the top 20 of the Division I IWLCA rankings.

Rutgers will take on Hofstra on March 13, followed by Loyola (Md.) on March 16 at 4 p.m. and continuing with contest at Denver on March 20 at 6 p.m. and BIG EAST foe Syracuse on March 27.
Rutgers will open the month of April hosting Connecticut on the third at noon followed by Monmouth on the seventh at 7 p.m. The Scarlet Knights will play their final regular-season road games with back-to-back matches at Villanova on April 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Georgetown on April 17 at 1 p.m.
The Scarlet Knights will wrap-up regular season action with three-straight BIG EAST home games. Rutgers hosts Notre Dame on April 24, followed by Louisville on April 30 at 3 p.m. and closes out the year with Cincinnati on April 30 at 3 p.m.
