Men's Lacrosse Travels to No. 14 Hobart Saturday

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers men’s lacrosse team will return to ECAC play on Saturday, traveling to Geneva, N.Y. to take on No. 14 Hobart at 1 p.m.
Rutgers (1-5, 0-1) fell in non-conference action last Saturday, losing at home to Army 9-6. Junior midfielder Justin Pennington (Flemington, N.J.) tied his season-high with two goals and won 8-of-9 face-off’s taken.
Hobart (5-0, 1-0) is coming off a win in its ECAC opener last Saturday, topping No. 11 Georgetown 15-8. Kevin Curtin and Tim Bigelow each recorded five points as the Statesman tallied a season-high in goals. Curtin posted three goals and two assists, while Bigelow scored twice and dished out three assists.
The Scarlet Knights have won three straight games against the Statesmen, including a 13-10 home victory last season. Kory Kelly (Princeton, N.J.), Brian Shemesh (Hillsborough, N.J.) and Gerhard Buehning (Essex Fells, N.J.) all recorded hat tricks in the RU victory.
