Men's Lacrosse Travels to Defending National Champion Syracuse

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers men’s lacrosse team will travel to No. 5 Syracuse Saturday to take on the Orange at the Carrier Dome at 3 p.m. Syracuse will be the sixth ranked opponent that Rutgers has faced this season and the third on the road.
Rutgers (4-7) had its two-game winning streak snapped last Saturday, falling to Loyola 12-9. Senior Mike Dugan (Summit, N.J.) recorded a season-high four points on two goals and two assists to pace the Scarlet Knights.
Syracuse (8-2) picked up a 15-10 victory over No. 3 Cornell on Tuesday. Senior attackman Kenny Nims led the Orange with a game-high six points on two goals and four assists.
The Orange lead the all-time series against the Scarlet Knights 36-9, including a 17-9 victory in Piscataway last season. Rutgers last topped Syracuse in 2004, winning 14-10 at Yurcak Field.
