PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers men's lacrosse team will host an alumni game on Rutgers' F-3 turf field on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 1:30 p.m., head coach Jim Stagnitta announced Monday.
The teams for the alumni game will be split between even and odd year lettermen. The contest will last approximately an hour and will take place following a team intra-squad scrimmage. Alumni can contact assistant coach Jasson Basso (jbasso@scarletknights.com) if they wish to attend or play.
"The alumni game has provided an opportunity for players to return to campus and spend time not only with their former teammates, but also to interact with our current players and alumni from other eras," said Stagnitta. "We look forward every year to welcoming back the alumni as well as their families to celebrate their contribution to RU lacrosse. We've had great alumni support for the program, particularly with this event. We all look forward to Oct. 3rd and hope alumni and fans take the opportunity to join us."
The Rutgers men's lacrosse team has brought in 11 prep standouts for the 2010 season. The Scarlet Knights regular season will begin in February.
