Rutgers Women's Lacrosse Announces Clinics, Four vs. Four Challenge

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (December 28, 2010) - The Rutgers women's lacrosse program will host a pair of girl's indoor lacrosse clinics in the RU Bubble on the Busch campus, head coach Laura Brand-Sias announced. RU will also hold the Second Annual Winter Warrior Challenge, a clinic which is open to high school girl's lacrosse players and will focus on four vs. four play.
The two camps are open to players of all ages and skill levels. Players will be grouped according to age and skill level. The clinic on Saturday, Jan. 15, will run from 6 - 9 p.m. (registration 5:45 p.m.), while the camp on Sunday, Jan. 16, will be held from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. (registration 8 a.m.). Coaches and players from the Rutgers women's lacrosse team will be on hand to provide instruction in basic and advanced stick skills as well as specialized goalie sessions.
Players must bring their own equipment (sticks, goggles (mandatory), mouth guards (mandatory), goalie equipment (mandatory), indoor sneakers) and a snack.
Cost of the clinic is $80 per session ($150 for both clinics) and players who register for both dates will be taught different skills and given a price break.

Mailed payments should be received by Jan. 12 as space is limited. Cash payment will also be accepted at the door on the day of the clinic, if space is available.
The Winter Warrior Challenge, presented by Brand Elite LLC will be held on Sunday, Feb. 20, at the RU Bubble.
Players must sign up as a team and teams must have a minimum of six players (including a goalie) and maximum of eight participants. Each team must have a goalie. The camp is open to any and all entrants within the advertised age group provided that space is available.
Every team will be asked to wear the same color. Brand elite, LLC will provide the champion, runner up and third place teams with prizes.
The registration deadline is Thursday, Feb. 17. The cost is $50 per player and check-in will be from 3:45 - 4:15 p.m. at the RU Bubble with the clinic beginning at 4:15 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m.
