
Rutgers Field Hockey Selected Sixth in BIG EAST Preseason Poll

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (August 13, 2010) – Rutgers University was picked to finish sixth in the 2010 BIG EAST Field Hockey Preseason Coaches’ Poll, it was announced this afternoon.
The Scarlet Knights return five starters and 14 letterwinners in total in 2010. Rutgers, under the direction of eighth-year head coach Liz Tchou, welcomes seven newcomers.
Senior midfielder Jenna Bull (Oakville, Ontario), a two-time All-BIG EAST second team honoree, is the team’s leading returning starter (5 goals, 2 assists). She is one of only two seniors, joined by forward Heather Garces (Cream Ridge, N.J.).
Rutgers officially opens the 2010 season on Friday, August 27 at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.
The Scarlet Knights will scrimmage Delaware on Sunday, August 22 at their home confines, the Bauer Track & Field Complex on the Livingston Campus.
