PISCATAWAY, N.J. (September 2, 2010) - Rutgers field hockey begins play at its home confines this weekend, entertaining Ohio on Friday, Sept. 3 and Richmond on Sunday, Sept. 5.
The Scarlet Knights (0-2) suffered a pair of road setbacks last weekend, falling at No. 12 James Madison and to William & Mary.
Ohio (1-2), home for its first three contests, is facing its first road test. The Bobcats dropped a 2-1 decision to Ohio State on August 31. The RU/OU contest begins at 4 p.m. on Friday at the Bauer Track & Field Complex adjacent to the RAC on the Livingston campus.
Richmond (1-1) is coming off a 2-1 win versus Towson on August 28. The Spiders will face Monmouth in West Long Branch, N.J. on Saturday, Sept. 4 before heading west to take on the Scarlet Knights at 1 p.m. Sunday.
"While young, this is a very talented team and I look forward to seeing the squad in action on its home turf," said head coach Liz Tchou. "It will be great to play in front of family and friends for the first time this season."
