PISCATAWAY, N.J. (September 27, 2010) - The Rutgers men's lacrosse team will host its annual Alumni game Sunday, Oct. 10 at 1:30 p.m., head coach Jim Stagnitta announced Monday.
"The alumni game is one of only two opportunities we have in the fall against outside competition," said Stagnitta. "It is not just an opportunity to play, but a chance for the current players to interact with those who were there before them. It's been a great experience for our players and I always look forward to spending time with the alumni and their families. As always, I anticipate a strong turnout of RU Lacrosse alumni and friends."
This year's alumni game will see former Scarlet Knight letterwinners take on members of the 2011 squad in a scrimmage. Alumni can contact Coach Stagnitta (jstag@scarletknights.com) if they wish to attend or play.
Rutgers finished the 2010 season with a 6-8 record and placed fifth in the final BIG EAST standings with a 2-4 conference mark. RU will open its 2011 campaign in February.
