Will Mangan Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (February 28, 2011) – Rutgers men’s lacrosse junior Will Mangan (Maplewood, N.J.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced this afternoon.
Mangan, who joins Scott Klimchak (Clark, N.J.) as Scarlet Knights to take home Weekly Honors this season, earned his first career BIG EAST accolade after tallying three points in a 12-5 win at UMBC.
In the game against the Retrievers, Mangan scored two goals, including the gamewinner, and added an assist to guide the offense. Mangan also scooped up four ground balls to help start the RU attack.
With the win over UMBC, Rutgers improved to 3-0 on the season, its best start since the 2004 season where it started 4-0.
Mangan and the rest of the Scarlet Knights return to action this weekend as they head to Philadelphia, Pa. for a 1 p.m. Saturday matchup with St. Joseph’s.
