
Rutgers Men's Lacrosse Hosts In-state Rival Princeton

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (April 11, 2011) – The Rutgers men’s lacrosse team (5-5) prepares to host in-state rival Princeton in a midweek game on Tuesday, April 12. The game, which marks the 89th meeting between the two storied programs, is set for a 7 p.m. start at the RU Stadium Complex turf Field.
For the season, Rutgers has been led offensively by Duncan Clancy (Princeton, N.J.) and Scott Klimchak (Clark, N.J.) who are tied for the team lead with 29 points on the season. Klimchak has recorded his 29 points on a team-leading 19 goals and 10 assists, while Clancy has a team-best 19 assists and 10 goals. Defensively, Andrew D’Agostino (Syracuse, N.Y.) paces the Scarlet Knights with 16 caused turnovers and 41 ground balls.
The Tigers, coached by Chris Bates in his second season, have been led on the offensive end by Tom Schreiber, who has a team-best 17 points on 10 goals and seven assists. Tyler Fiorito, who has made 89 saves on the season, will get the call in goal for Princeton, who enters the matchup with a 2-6 record.
Princeton leads the all-time series, which dates back to 1922, 56-29-3, including a 10-8 victory over RU last year in Princeton.
