Matt Klimchak Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (April 18, 2011) – Rutgers men’s lacrosse redshirt freshman Matt Klimchak (Clark, N.J.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced this afternoon.
Klimchak, who join his brother Scott Klimchak (Clark, N.J.), Will Mangan (Maplewood, N.J.) and Chris Mattes (Westfield, N.J.) as Scarlet Knights to take home weekly honors this season, earned his first-career BIG EAST accolade after a breakout performance against Princeton. Against the Tigers, Klimchak scored a career-best four goals on seven shots, tying the number of goals he had scored for the entire season.
Klimchak and the rest of the Scarlet Knights return to action this Saturday, April 23, as they head to East Hartford, Conn. to take on No. 4 Syracuse at 5:30 p.m. in the ESPNU Warrior Classic.
