PISCATAWAY, N.J. (May 9, 2011) – Rutgers men’s lacrosse junior Kevin Hover (Belle Mead, N.J.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced this afternoon.
Hover, who joins Matt Klimchak (Clark, N.J.), Scott Klimchak (Clark, N.J.), Will Mangan (Maplewood, N.J.) and Chris Mattes (Westfield, N.J.) as Scarlet Knights to take home weekly honors this season, earned his second-career BIG EAST accolade after a strong performance in RU’s 10-7 win over Providence.
Against the Friars, Hover tallied a career-high tying four goals to help lead the RU offensive attack. Hover, who took home Weekly Honors from the BIG EAST the week of May 10 a season ago, ended the season with 15 goals
The Scarlet Knights wrapped up their season with a 6-9 overall record. The future looks bright for RU as it returns nine of 10 starters, including its leading point getter, Duncan Clancy (Princeton, N.J.) and goal scorer, Scott Klimchak.
