Lisa Patrone Grabs BIG EAST Weekly Honors

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (October 1, 2012) - Rutgers field hockey forward Lisa Patrone (Washington Township, N.J.) was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference office Monday.
Over the weekend, the Scarlet Knights dropped a 2-1 decision to BIG EAST foe Villanova, but rebounded the next day in a 4-3, overtime win over Bucknell. In the weekend win, the junior tallied a goal and two assists, bringing her season point total to 13. Patrone leads the team in points and is tied with Cornelia Duffin (Moorestown, N.J.) to lead the squad in goals (5).
With her fifth goal of the season, Patrone has recorded both a season and career best, as she had four goals in 2010 and one goal in 2011. The playmaker is one assist shy of a season best, and three points shy of a season and career-best point total.
