PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Oct. 11, 2012) - The Rutgers men's lacrosse team will face off against a pair of exhibition foes at the Christian Prince Memorial Tournament, hosted by Yale on Saturday, Oct. 14 in New Haven, Conn. The annual event matches second-year head coach Brian Brecht's squad against UMass at 3:30 p.m. and the host Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m.
"As we head through our fall practices, my staff and I have been very pleased with the effort and energy the team has had over the past month," Brecht said. "Having a chance to compete against two NCAA tournament teams in UMass and Yale, we will certainly see where we are at as we finish up our fall program. With many new players and returning players competing for roles in the spring, we are hoping to learn a lot from this weekend as we prepare for the 2013 season and BIG EAST action."
Yale and UMass will begin the action for the tournament with a 1:30 p.m. matchup.
Brecht additionally would like to encourage Rutgers men's lacrosse alumni to attend the Rutgers Lacrosse Community Tailgate on Saturday, Oct. 13 prior to Rutgers football's game vs. Syracuse.
