PISCATAWAY, N.J. (November 13, 2012) - Rutgers field hockey forward Carlie Rouh (Berlin, N.J.) was selected to play in the 2012 Division I Senior Game on Wednesday as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).
"Carlie is absolutely deserving of this honor. She is an extremely smart and talented player, and she has been such an important part of our team the last four years. I'm excited for her to have the opportunity to represent herself and Rutgers."
The 2012 NFHCA Division I Senior Game will be held at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., on Saturday, Nov. 17. The seniors will be split into two groups to play shortened contests against each other as well as the U.S. Women's National Team.
Rouh came onto the RU squad in 2009 and earned playing time in 73 of 75 possible Scarlet Knight games during her career. Of those 73 games she played in, she earned the starting nod in 66 of them.
The Berlin, N.J., native has been a consistent leader on the attacking end, and has contributed in both assists and in goals. As a sophomore she notched two goals and three assists, followed by a junior campaign totaling five goals and five assists, and finished the 2012 season with four goals and three assists, upping her career totals to 11 goals, 13 assists, and 35 career points. Rouh, one of the RU captains, earned spots on the All-BIG EAST Second Team in both 2011 and 2012. After notching a goal and an assist vs. Monmouth, and a goal against Temple, Rouh was selected for the BIG-EAST Weekly Honor Roll in September of this season.
