PISCATAWAY, N.J. (April 11, 2012) - The Rutgers field hockey team has announced that it will be hosting the 2012 Friendzy Fundraiser on April 22 at 10 a.m. at the Bauer Track and Field Complex. Eligible participants will be teaming up to face members of the field hockey team and coaching staff, with all proceeds from the tournament going straight to the Rutgers field hockey program.
"This is a new annual Rutgers field hockey fundraising event that will be open to all alumni, friends, family and fans," head coach Meredith Long said. "This event will be a modified tournament aimed at getting our Rutgers field hockey community out on the field and having a great time. It is a great chance to come out and support our Rutgers field hockey program!"
Interested teams are required to have a minimum of two players with field hockey experience and the roster is allowed up to 10 people. Due to compliance restrictions, high school aged participants are not permitted to play. The cost is 10 dollars per person and includes a barbeque at the conclusion of the day.
