Rutgers Field Hockey Continues Academic Success
Jun 20 | Field Hockey
PISCATAWAY, N.J. (June 20, 2012) - Rutgers field hockey was acknowledged on Wednesday for its continued academic excellence in the NCAA's most recent release of the Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores. The Scarlet Knights have strived to improve their APR scores each year, recording a perfect 1,000 score for the 2010-2011 academic year. This Scarlet Knights showed a multiyear score of 997, ranking them second in the BIG EAST and in the top-20 of the NCAA.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete. The APR includes eligibility, retention, and graduation in the calculation and provides a clear picture of the academic culture in each sport. The most recent APRs are based on scores from the 2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11 academic years.
