PISCATAWAY, N.J. (September 4, 2012) - Rutgers field hockey senior Carlie Rouh was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference office Monday.
Rouh currently leads Scarlet Knights (2-2) this season in points with six. In the past weekend's play, Rutgers faced Monmouth University where the Berlin, N.J., native led the team with a goal and an assist to help take the 4-1 victory over the nonconference, instate foe. In Sunday's game, Rouh capitalized on a penalty shot opportunity to try and help keep the Scarlet Knights in the game which resulted in a 3-2, overtime loss to Temple University.
In just four games, Rouh is almost at half of her total points from the 2011 season (15), and is three goals and three assists shy of her career-best five.
The Scarlet Knights head on a four-game stretch on the road, first visiting Orono, Maine for a pair of weekend games against Maine at 3 p.m. on Sept. 7, and Bryant at noon on Sept. 8. The following weekend, the Scarlet Knights kick off conference action on Saturday, Sept. 15, facing a solid Connecticut team that made a 2011 NCAA Tournament appearance, finishing fifth in the nation. In a quick turnaround, Rutgers travels to New Haven, Conn., for next-day play against Sacred Heart at 2 p.m.
