PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Jan. 14, 2013) - Former Rutgers men's lacrosse midfielder Will Mangan (Maplewood, N.J.) has been traded from Major League Lacrosse's New York Lizards to the Denver Outlaws. The Outlaws sent attackman Mark Matthews to the Lizards for Mangan and the 29th overall pick in the MLL Draft, which took place on Friday, Jan. 11.
Mangan, a 2012 graduate of Rutgers, is coming off his first summer as a member of the Lizards. The Maplewood, N.J., native played in seven games for New York in 2012, scoring eight goals and tallying three assists for 11 points. He also collected nine ground balls.
Mangan joins two other former Rutgers lacrosse players Chris O'Dougherty (2006-09) and Justin Pennington (2007-10) on the Outlaws.
