PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Feb. 25, 2013) - Rutgers men's lacrosse junior A Scott Klimchak (Clark, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for his offensive performance in the team's two games, the conference announced Monday.
Klimchak led the team on the week, tallying 10 points including nine goals. He started by totaling four goals and one assist in a 20-10 win over Wagner (Feb. 19). He followed that up with another five point performance, all goals, to lead the team in the loss at UMBC (Feb. 23). The five goals tied a career high for the junior.
Klimchak joins classmate A Nick DePaolera (Kinnelon, N.J.) as the two Rutgers players to be named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll this season, as DePaolera was recognized on Feb. 18 for his opening week performance.
Rutgers next returns home to take on Stony Brook Saturday, March 2 at 1 p.m. at the RU Turf Field at the Stadium Complex.
