
Alleyne Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (March 25, 2013) - Rutgers men's lacrosse freshman GK Kris Alleyne (New City, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for his performance in net against No. 3 Notre Dame (March 24), the conference announced Monday.
Alleyne made 14 saves, his third-most in a game this season, against the Irish. He allowed just seven goals in 60 minutes of play, the second-lowest number of goals given up by the Scarlet Knights in a contest in 2013. He recorded a .582 save percentage and collected a career-high four ground balls.
The freshman joins junior A Scott Klimchak (Clark, N.J.) junior A Nick DePaolera (Kinnelon, N.J.) and sophomore FO Joseph Nardella (Cazenovia, N.Y.) as the four Rutgers players to be named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll this season.
Rutgers next takes on Providence at home Saturday, March 30 at 7 p.m.
