Rutgers Field Hockey Travels to Princeton for Scrimmage

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Aug. 26, 2013) - The Rutgers field hockey team is set to play its second and final scrimmage of the 2013 preseason, traveling to Princeton to face the Tigers on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 4 p.m.
RU downed Fairfield at home, 4-1, in its first exhibition on Aug. 24. Freshman back Sofia Walia (Surrey, British Columbia), classmate forward Rachel Yaney (Bridgewater, N.J.), senior forward Lisa Patrone (Washington Township, N.J.) and junior Sophie Wright (Devizes, United Kingdom) each found the back of the cage for the Scarlet Knights in the contest.
The Scarlet Knights open the regular season vs. Boston College on Aug. 31 at 1 p.m. in Burlington, Vt. The first home contest is set for Sept. 6 at 3 p.m., when RU takes on La Salle.
