MLax Welcomes Army Veteran to Squad

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - This Veterans day, Rutgers men's lacrosse will take a moment to honor those that have served our country in the United States military. For one player, the day holds a special significance.
In 2010, Patrick McCabe joined the United States Army Rangers, where he did three tours in Afghanistan. After four years in the military, the Kinnelon, N.J. native participated in walk-on tryouts in September, and became the newest addition to the Scarlet Knights men's lacrosse roster.
"Patrick has been a great addition to our team this fall," head coach Brian Brecht said. "We are very excited to have Patrick as a member of our lacrosse family. The service and experience he has as an Army Ranger will be so valuable to our young and returning players both on and off the field."
