Clements Named to BIG EAST All-Tournament Team

WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 3, 2014) - Senior attacker Megan Clements (Pennington, N.J.) of the Rutgers women's lacrosse team was named to the BIG EAST Conference All-Tournament Team, the league announced following Saturday's championship game. Clements helped guide Rutgers to its first conference tournament berth since the 2008 campaign.
RU fell to eventual league champion, first-seeded Louisville in the BIG EAST Semis, 17-6, May 1 at Georgetown's Multi-Sport Field. Clements tallied a team-high three points in the loss, scoring a goal and assisting on two others.
Clements was also named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team and the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. The attacker wrapped up her final campaign "On the Banks" second on the squad in both points (33) and goals (26), and tied for first on the team in draw controls (30).
Rutgers concluded the 2014 campaign with a 9-9 overall record. This season marked the Scarlet Knights' last year in the BIG EAST, as Rutgers will join the Big Ten and help form the conference's inaugural women's lacrosse league.
