Toliver named B1G Freshman of the Week

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (February 16, 2015) -Rutgers midfielder Chad Toliver was named Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
The Milton, Ga. native scored his first career goal Saturday in the Scarlet Knights game at Richmond. Toliver has three points on the season, also notching two assists in the season-opening win at St. John's.
The award is the first Big Ten Player of the Week honor earned by Rutgers men's lacrosse. It is the second individual weekly award this season, as Christian Trasolini was named Inside Lacrosse Player of the Week after posting four goals and an assist in the opener.
The Scarlet Knights will host their home opener this Saturday, when they will host No. 6 Virginia at 1 p.m. Tickets are still on sale, and can be purchased here.
