Nardella named ECAC Second Team All-Star

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers senior midfielder Joe Nardella received another accolade Monday in recognition of his outstanding senior campaign, as he was named to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Star Second Team.
Nardella was recently named the 205th All-American in the history of men's lacrosse, was a First Team All-Big Ten selection and the Big Ten Specialist of the Year. The Cazenovia, N.Y., native won 222-of-333 faceoffs this season, a 67.0 winning percentage that was third in the nation. He also led the team with 125 ground balls, and scored six goals with nine assists.
The ECAC consists of 88 Division I programs and serves to initiate, stimulate and improve the intercollegiate athletics programs for student-athletes, and to promote and develop educational leadership, athletics excellence, and athletics participation. Representatives from ECAC Division I Men's Lacrosse programs completed the voting.
