Zolchonock named Director of Lacrosse Operations

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -Rutgers men's lacrosse head coach Brian Brecht has named Marc Zolchonock as the team's Director of Lacrosse Operations. Zolchonock will oversee the day-to-day operations of the lacrosse office and assist with all program needs.
Zolchonock joins the Scarlet Knights after four years coaching in the high school, college and club ranks. Zolchonock also starred at Kean University where he was a four year letter winner for the Cougars.
"We are very excited to have Marc join our staff as the Director of Lacrosse Operations," coach Brecht said. "Marc has a lot of passion for the game of lacrosse, played locally at Livingston High School and Kean University, as well as coaching last year at his alma matter. He will be a great addition to our staff in assisting in the day to day operations in the Big Ten."
Zolchonock currently coaches NJ Diesel, an elite Essex County club team that is a part of Trilogy Lacrosse. Most recently, Zolchonock served as a student assistant coach at his alma matter Kean University. He helped organize daily practices, workouts and pre-game warm-ups for a Kean squad that finished the 2014 season with their second best winning percentage in the past 10 years. He has led the Livingston High School winter training program since 2012. Zolchonock also trains clients of Mogavero Fitness in Fairfield, N.J.
Zolchonock earned his bachelor of science in marketing from Kean University in 2015. At Kean, Zolchonock excelled as defenseman. He totaled 77 ground balls and forced 39 turnovers in his career. Zolchonock led the team in caused turnovers his senior season and was a winner of the Student Scholar Athlete Award in 2013 and 2014.
The Livingston, N.J., native was all-state and all-conference in high school at Livingston High School.
