Men's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers men's soccer team was honored with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) College Team Academic Award for the 2015-16 academic year, it was announced on Thursday by the organization.
The Scarlet Knights were one of a total of 892 collegiate soccer teams (315 men, 577 women) who posted a 3.0 or higher grade point average during the 2015-16 academic year. Both the RU men's and women's soccer teams earned the award, one of 221 schools with both their men's and women's programs recognized.
"Our guys continue to do a great job in the classroom," said head coach Dan Donigan. "We are very proud of the work and effort our guys put into academics and with the great support services our academic staff provides. We thank them as well for this success. We always strive for academic success and athletic success. Our teams over the past years have performed very well and for that we are proud."
Rutgers has earned the team academic award from the NSCAA in five of the last six seasons.
