PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Former Rutgers player Scott Klimchak has be added to the roster of the MLL's Chesapeake Bayhawks, the team announced. Klimchak previously spent time in the MLL with the Ohio Machine.
Klimchak was a four-year letterwinner at Rutgers from 2010 to 2014, and finished his career "On the Banks" with 124 goals, which ranks sixth all-time in Rutgers history. The Clark, N.J., native won the team's William Miller Trophy in 2014, awarded to the team member who has constituted an inspiration to his teammates and made the greatest contribution to the team in the season's play.
As a senior in 2014, Klimchak led the squad with a career-high 38 goals and 43 points, while collecting 21 ground balls. His 38 goals were just two shy of tying for 10th on Rutgers' single season goals lists. He tallied 156 points in his career, the most for an RU player since at least 2005. Klimchak was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team in 2011 and also earned the Al Twitchell Award as RU's most valuable freshman.
