Gameday Captains: George, Groel, Heningburg

PISCATAWAY, N.J.- The Scarlet Knights have two permanent captains for this season, a pair of reigning all-Big Ten selections in seniors Scott Bieda and Zack Sikora. The team additionally names gameday captains, recognizing the strong play and leadership of other players. Those players will join in as captains for the upcoming game.
For the regular season finale at Ohio State, Rutgers' gameday captains will be Jules Heningburg, Chris Groel and Jeff George.
Heningburg is a gameday captain for the fifth time this season and leads the conference with 37 goals. He had a career-best six goals and eight points in last weeks' win over Penn State, earning him Big Ten and National Offensive Player of the Week honors. The Maplewood, N.J. native was also featured on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays for his goal that gave RU the lead for good in Friday's win.
Groel anchored the defensive in the comeback victory over Penn State. The Los Angeles native had a career-high six ground balls and added his first collegiate assists, and was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. On the season the junior has a new career-high 26 ground balls.
George moved back into the starting lineup against Penn State and validated that promotion with a season-best two goals. The Warren, N.J. native has seven goals on the season.
The game Saturday at Ohio Stadium starts at 7 p.m. It will be televised nationally by Big Ten Network.
