WLAX Rounds Out Recruiting Class

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers women's lacrosse made an addition to its recruiting class for the upcoming season, announced Thursday by head coach Laura Brand-Sias. Midfielder/attacker Christina Petito (West Deptford, N.J.) will join the program this fall, rounding out a class consisting of Samantha Budd (West Deptford, N.J.), Brianna Cirino (Royersford, Pa.), Jordan Drab (Suffern, N.Y.), Monica Dresnin (Lafayette Hill, Pa.), and Samantha Scarpello (Shamong, N.J.).

Prior to Rutgers: Four-year lacrosse varsity letterwinner at West Deptford HS and team captain as a senior … named second team all-South Jersey and first team all-area as a junior … a three-time first team all-Olympic conference selection … named second team all-Group II as a junior … received the Coaches Award in 2015 … led team to three Olympic Conference Championships (2013-15) and the Gloucester County Cup title (2013) … has amassed 159 goals and 65 assists in her career … four-year varsity letterwinner in field hockey and team captain as a senior … a first and second team all-conference selection … tallied 22 goals and 11 assists in her career … helped team to three South Jersey Group II titles (2013-15) … National Honor Society Treasurer in 2015 and 2014 … three-time honor roll selection (2013-15).
