Women’s Soccer Sits at No. 25 in United Soccer Coaches Poll

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's soccer is ranked No. 25 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll. Additionally, the Scarlet Knights are also ranked No. 19 by Soccer America, No. 21 by TopDrawerSoccer.com, while sitting at No. 17 in the NCAA Women's Soccer RPI.
Rutgers (11-2-4) held its Top 25 spot after a 1-0 road win in overtime at Indiana. Sophomore forward Brittany LaPlant scored the game winner in overtime, marking her second straight game with the game winner.
Redshirt junior Casey Murphy registered her 13th shutout of the season and third straight clean sheet. Murphy is tied for the nation lead with 13 shutouts, while ranking atop the Big Ten and top five nationally in GAA (0.28) and save percentage (.911).
The Scarlet Knights sit in a tie for third nationally with a shutout percentage of .765.
