Know Your Knights: Gianna Glatz

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers field hockey freshman Gianna Glatz arrived on campus this season and immediately seized the starting goalkeeper job. The starter between the pipes from day one, Glatz has started all 17 games, playing 1,153 minutes in goal out of a possible 1,201. She holds a 2.12 goals-against-average, .676 save percentage, has made 73 saves, and has four shutouts.
Growing up in an athletic family, Glatz starting playing a variety of sports at an early age. In field hockey she gravitated to the goal, where she immediately excelled.

I chose Rutgers because: My coaches and teammates are like family and we have so much potential
I selected my jersey number because: Assistant Coach Maddy Sposito chose it for me and I am almost certain it's because Great Britain Goalkeeper Maddie Hinch is also number one

Rituals I have before, during or after a game are: Listenting to my mixtape and Soundcloud tracks. I also put my equipment on in a specific way each time before I play.
If I didn't have to sleep, I would do this with my extra time: Volunteer at the Give Kids the World Village
