Field Hockey Places Eight on Fall Academic Big Ten List

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Dec. 7, 2017) – The Big Ten Conference recognized eight Rutgers field student-athletes on the Fall 2017 Academic All-Big Ten list, announced by the league office on Wednesday.
"Being a student-athlete at Rutgers is not just about performance on the field, it's about excelling in the classroom as well," head coach Meredith Civico said. "For this group to be recognized for their academic achievements by the Big Ten Conference shows their commitment to all aspects of being a field hockey student-athlete at Rutgers."
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
