
Dunphey Named Second Team IWLCA All-Region

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Senior midfielder Kristina Dunphey was named to the 2017 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I All-Mid-Atlantic Team, announced Friday.
The 2017 All-Big Ten member appeared in all 16 games for the Scarlet Knights this season, leading the team in points (43) and goals (31). The Hillsborough, New Jersey, native scored multiple goals nine times this season, which included a five-goal outburst on March 15 against Manhattan. Dunphey had five hat tricks in 2017, and led RU in caused turnovers with 14.
Dunphey closed out her collegiate career with 125 points, good for 17th all-time in program history. Dunphey became the 24th player in program history to eclipse the 100-point milestone this season, finishing her time "On the Banks" with 89 goals and 36 assists.
Rutgers finished the 2017 campaign with eight wins, the most for the program since 2014. The Scarlet Knights picked up two league victories, including a 16-14 road decision against Michigan when Dunphey led RU with four goals.
