PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse announced the hiring of a new Director of Operations, adding Jimmy Ryan to the staff. Ryan will oversee the day-to-day operations of the lacrosse office and assist with all program needs.
"We are very excited to add Jimmy to our staff," head coach Brian Brecht said. "Jimmy brings a lot of experience as a player and coach to our program. We're looking forward to having him be a valued member of our day to day operations to help meet all of our programs and student-athlete's needs."
Ryan joins the program after spending last season as an assistant coach at Western New England University men's lacrosse program. Ryan served as the team's offensive coordinator as they scored 184 goals in 18 games, recording a 7-1 record in conference.
Ryan spent the previous academic year as an assistant coach at Williams College, where he served as goalie coach while working with both the offense and defense. He also was the team's video coordinator.
The Bethesda, Maryland native was a four-year letterwinner for the Ithaca College men's lacrosse program as a long-stick midfielder, serving as team captain of the Bombers his senior year. After earning All-Empire 8 honors as a junior in 2014, he was named to the first team as a senior in 2015 in addition to being selected to play in the 74th Annual USILA North-South Game.
Ryan earned his bachelor's degree in the Science of Business Administration from the Ithaca College Business School in 2015.
