Scarlet Knights begin three-game road swing on Friday with the Buckeyes
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's soccer kicks off a three-game road swing, beginning with Ohio State on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Scarlet Knights then travel to Penn State for a Sunday matchup on Big Ten Network at 3 p.m. with Jackie Manny and Mike Monaco on the call.

RUTGERS QUICK KICKS
- Rutgers produced two Big Ten overtime victories at home over the weekend, including a 1-0 overtime win against then-No. 14 Northwestern and a 1-0 overtime win against Illinois.
- The Scarlet Knights collected three of four Big Ten weekly awards, including sophomore forward Amirah Ali (Offensive Player of the Week), senior back Madison Pogarch (Defensive Player of the Week) and freshman Meagan McClelland (Goalkeeper of the Week).
- Ali leads the Big Ten with 10 goals, including five game winners and four overtime goals. Ali ranks fourth in the nation in game-winning goals.
- McClelland brought her conference shutout total to three, including a career-high five saves for her first clean sheet over a ranked foe in the Wildcats. She ranks second in the Big Ten with a 0.65 GAA this season.
- Pogarch, a Senior CLASS Award Candidate, played every minute with the back line in the two shutouts. She aided the defense in holding the Fighting Illini to just four shots and joining only three other teams in blanking the Wildcats this season.
- Rutgers remains unbeaten in conference play with a 5-0-2 record in seven straight overtime contests, sitting in first place in the league standings.
- RU is ranked No. 21 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll and No. 22 in Soccer America's Poll.
SCOUTING OHIO STATE
- Ohio State (7-5-1, 4-2-1) split its matches last weekend with a 1-0 loss at Michigan and a 1-0 win at Michigan State.
- Emily Vatne and Izzy Rodriguez lead the Buckeyes with three goals and two assists each.
- In net, Devon Kerr has seen the most time, maintaining a 0.89 GAA with 50 saves and six shutouts.
- Rutgers leads the series with Ohio State, 6-0-1. Last season, RU earned a 1-0 victory over OSU at home.
- Penn State (9-5, 5-2) picked up a pair of wins over the weekend, including a 2-1 overtime win at Michigan State and a 2-1 win at Michigan.
- Kristin Schnurr leads the team with seven goals on the year followed by Frankie Tagliaferri with six.
- In net, Amanda Dennis maintains a 0.76 GAA with 34 saves and a combined mark of six team shutouts.
- The Nittany Lions own a 9-6-4 edge in the all-time series. Last year, RU and PSU played to two scoreless double overtime draws, including a 0-0 showdown in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals. PSU advanced on penalty kicks, 4-3, in that match.
- PSU hosts Maryland Friday before welcoming the Scarlet Knights.
